Majura Pistol Club (SSAA ACT) Inc was established in 2012 and we are a small club of about 50 members. The club is an approved and recognised club in ACT and NSW, which means we can accept NSW residents although the joining process is slightly different for NSW residents.
Our shooting schedule is as follows: + First Sunday - Target Pistol, Centrefire and Rimfire. + Second Sunday - MPC Short Barrel Match, centrefire only, rimfire at clubs discretion. + Third Saturday - APS Match, centrefire and rimfire. + Fourth Saturday - Field Pistol, centrefire, large calibre and rimfire.
From time to time other events will be determined outside of the above framework and these will be published in the Schedule of Events section on this page.
We have access to two 50-yard Ranges with turning targets. We shoot a variety of Australian Police Services matches which are shot from 3 to 50 yards. These include using a holster, and cater for centre fire and .22 calibre semi-auto pistols and revolvers. We also shoot an SSAA Target Pistol match (50 and 25 yards) which caters for .22 through to centrefire calibres; and Field Pistol (25 to 100 yards) which is a steel plate shoot, catering for all calibres from .22 to .45.
The club has three SSAA ACT instructors and we have a delegage to represent Majura Pistol Club at SSAA ACT council meetings.
